𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 denotes operating with one or even more individuals to execute or create ideas or methods for a particular task or activity. Caroline Ghosn, the Founder & CEO of Levo, proclaims that "Collaboration is like carbonation for fresh ideas. Working together bubbles up ideas you would not have come up with a solo, which gets you further faster."

Collaboration is impossible until everyone is on the same skill level. Collaboration is a journey, yet good collaboration is a natural ability that takes time to master. So, let us explore the qualities required to collaborate effectively and what one can do to foster collaboration and assist people in honing their skills.

Well, let us dig into a well-known story before we get to the essence of cooperation!

Once upon a time, a beautiful vegetable patch with a giant leafy tree grew on it. The patch and the tree generated a lovely aspect and were the garden owner's pride and joy. The veggies in the patch and the tree could not stand each other, which no one anticipated. The vegetables despised the tree's shadow because it only provided them with just enough light to keep them alive. On the other hand, the tree despised the veggies since they drank almost all of the water before reaching the tree, abandoning it with barely enough to live.

The vegetables were so irritated with the situation that they opted to take up all the groundwater in order for the tree to dry up. The tree retaliated by refusing to safeguard the vegetables from the extreme sunup heat, triggering them to dry out as well. The vegetables quickly became skimpy, and the tree's branches began gradually drying out.

Neither of them presumed the gardener to discontinue watering his vegetable garden since it was decaying. Both the tree and the veggies realized what thirst was after he did that. There emerged to be no way out. However, one of the vegetables, a little courgetti, sensed the predicament and rectified it. Despite the lack of water and the scorching heat, the tiny courgetti did everything he could to rise. He keeps growing where the gardener had to re-water the area. The gardener now desired to participate in that magnificent big courgetti in a gardening competition.

As a result, the vegetables and the tree understood that collaborating instead of clashing was the way to go. They should learn how to live in peace with others around them. As an end, they pledged to cooperate to grow healthy produce by merging shade and water effectively and efficiently. After seeing how beautifully they were doing, the gardener decided to give his vegetable patch the finest possible care, hydrating and nourishing it more acceptable than any other patch for miles.

Collaboration is paramount both in personal life and professional life. Don Tapscott, the CEO of the Tapscott Group and the co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Blockchain Research Institute, states that "Collaboration is important not just because it's a better way to learn. The spirit of collaboration is penetrating every institution and all of our lives. So learning to collaborate is part of equipping yourself for effectiveness, problem-solving, innovation, and life-long learning in an ever-changing networked economy."

👉When working with a team, prioritize the group's requisites over your own.

👉Share your views, but also give heed to what others have to say.

👉Find a supervisor or coworker who excels in Collaboration and requests them to guide you.
