Dear Fanatical Learner's,

Heretofore, a manager, was in charge of about 40 intelligent, active, and hardworking young people where everyone is doing well independently, but they are not sharing knowledge, which is critical for its success. As a result, the Manager decided to organize a group trip.

He asked everyone to play a three-round game in a spacious room on the trip and told everyone to blow up a balloon and write down their name on it before putting it on the table. When the squad heard this, they all blew a balloon with their names on it. Afterwards, they had to wait for the next round outside. Thereby the Manager calls all of them to come inside. Upon entering, team members spotted a smattering of additional balloons with no names. According to the Manager, they had 15 minutes to find the balloon with their name strewn among the balloons. The person who pops the balloon is disqualified, and the first three persons who find their balloons win. The round was called off after 15 minutes because no one could discover their balloons. The Manager told them to provide a balloon with a name to the person whose name was termed in the next round. The entire team started looking, and within minutes, everyone had their balloon with their name on it.

As a consequence, the Manager approached the dais and remarked, "You see, in the second round, no one could find their balloons because we were focusing on individual objectives, but in the closing round, all had their balloon with them within a short time."

The story's premise is that people withhold information, shun collaboration, and isolate themselves from their team members. This type of thinking causes roadblocks for the team's progress, and over time, it harms the individual's professional development. As a result, everyone on the team should work together and show empathy in order for the team to succeed. You could perhaps realize the pertinence of teamwork from the narrative that was just shared with you.
